About Us
Sixty years ago, Morrie--a hardworking father of four
sons--opened up one of McHenry's first Citgo gas stations. In
between pumping gas for his customers, he worked in the small, two
bay-door auto repair shop attached to the station. It was in that little
shop that Morrie began providing his customers with not only quality
automotive service but did it with honesty and integrity. It was there,
that Morrie & Son's officially began.
Much has changed since then as it pertains to cars, but not
much has changed with the business; except now, it is Mitch--one of
Morrie's sons--working towards the same goals as his father. Mitch
strives to not only provide his customers with the same quality
automotive service as Morrie, but tries to build and maintain lasting
relationships with his customers. This, he knows, is only accomplished
through trust.
Currently, Mitch and his son Austin operate a three bay-door
auto repair shop on the west side of McHenry--a few blocks from where that old Citgo gas station once stood. Father and son working together like its always been at Morrie & Son's. A true family-owned and operated business since 1959.
